I hope this doesn't sound offensive, but it seems that given my involvement in progressive social/political issues & volunteer events, & the Respite Foster Care I do periodically on weekends when I don't have other plans, those who don't have very similar views & interests & don't enjoy being around children a lot, probably would not enjoy talking with me.

I am also a Special Education Teacher/Guidance Counselor in the Philadelphia School District. My children are 18, 20 & 22. They live with me when not at college, but they are pretty independent.

At the risk of sounding cliche', I really do have fun & enjoy doing anything, including things that I don't prefer doing. It doesn't make the time go faster to feel negative, & making the best of a situation can even turn it into something fun. I also feel that pretty much everything is something that can be laughed about, which makes my sense of humor fairly warped.

I am very content to be at home, but I also enjoy hearing live music or going to a volunteer event. ;) If any of that sounds interesting, it would be great to hear from you.
